Pay it Forward!

This weekend I had an awesome experience in which intelliegent, strong black women decided they were going to pay it forward to a group of deserving female college hopefuls.   I say these young women are deserving because in today's society where violence, war and poverty have taken over the daily news, we have young people that are still striving for greatness.   The young women that entered into the Project Aloe room  on this Saturday represented strength to me.   Just being apart of a group of women that care enough about a young person's future to donate their time and resources in hopes that they can encourage and empower was absolutely beautiful to me.   I encourage everyone to pay-it-forward.  When we think about where we have come from to where we are now; many of us had help. Someone took the time with us or shared an experience that helped us get through a trying time.   Or some people had no one to help them along the way and wished someone took time  to show them.  What better way to make sure someone else doesn't have to go down that same road alone then to lend a hand and pay-it-forward. It doesn't have to be something grand but do something that will make a difference in someone's life.
